A Certified SAFe® Government Practitioner (SGP) is a SAFe change agent who uses principles and practices of the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®) to execute and release value through Agile Release Trains (ARTs) in order to lead a Lean-Agile transformation of a program inside a government agency.
Transitioning to Lean-Agile practices for building digital services is especially challenging in the government context. But issues of legacy governance, contracting, and organizational barriers can be overcome with the right information and strategies. Attendees learn the principles and practices of the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®), how to execute and release value through Agile Release Trains, and what it means to lead a Lean-Agile transformation of a program inside a government agency.
Our workshops are not a one-way knowledge transfer. Participants play, build, create, debate and collaborate throughout the learning process.
All are welcome to attend the course, regardless of experience. However, the following prerequisites are highly recommended:
Professional Development Units (PDUs) and Scrum Education Units (SEUs)
Attendees may be eligible to apply for 13 to 15 PDUs toward their continuing education requirements with the Project Management Institute (PMI) for PMP, PgMP, and PMI-ACP certifications
Attendees may be eligible to apply for SEUs under category C, toward earning or renewing their CSP through Scrum Alliance
